# Single Elimination Bracket Generator

## Frequently Asked Questions

### What is a single elimination bracket?

A knockout format where losing a single match removes you from the tournament. Winners advance each round until one contestant is left.

### What happens if I do not have a power of two?

The bracket pads out to the next power of two and hands byes to contestants in round one, so a 6 or 13 entry list still works.

### How many rounds will my bracket have?

Four contestants play two rounds, eight play three, sixteen play four, thirty-two play five. Each round halves the field.

### Does this support double elimination?

Not currently. This generator builds single elimination only, where one loss ends a run.
